Girls Football:
The team played really well against Charlotte Sharman, who are top of the table, but lost out 3-1 in the end, Jodie scoring our goal with a Bobby Charlton type strike from a long way out. We really missed Kalliopi in midfield, our enforcer, who always gives us that edge and extra energy. We can still qualify with games against Rye Oak and Bessemer to come in the next few weeks.
Boys Football:
The boys produced one of the performances of the season against a very physical Surrey Square team who had to win to stand any chance of qualifying to the quarter final stages.
Goals from the fleet- footed Lucas Webb (4); scheming Mikel (2); Captain Courageous Arthur (3) and a goal from the Goodrich answer to the former Leeds United captain Billy Bremner, Seth Robinson, saw us win 10-1 and charge into the Quarter Finals like Red Rum crossing the finishing line!
